Monitoring
Take-Overs
We can take over and work on any internal or external alarm, fire or
CCTV system both domestic and commercial, wired and wirefree. Our
engineers are qualified and experienced in a vast array of different
alarms systems but our specialist area is in wirefree intruder
alarms and external detection systems. We can tailor any system to
your specific requirements and budget
You may want to change your alarm company if:
- You are not happy with your
existing alarm company’s quality of service
- You have a faulty alarm where
they cannot solve the problem
- Your existing maintenance or
monitoring contract comes to an end or your existing alarm
company goes out of business
- Your needs have changed and your
existing alarm company can no longer fulfil your requirements
- You are looking for a more
competitive price
- You want a faster response from
a local firm
- You want to amalgamate all your
intruder, fire, emergency lighting, door access control and CCTV
system maintenance contracts into one cost effective package
What are the alarm maintenance
options?
We offer three levels of Maintenance Contract, starting from basic
to fully comprehensive cover. Please view our Maintenance Contracts
page.
Upgrades for Homes & Businesses
Whether you are looking to upgrade your intruder alarm, fire alarm,
CCTV or door access system we can offer a wide range of products.
Over time, your alarm and security systems run the risk of becoming
out of date and less effective. It is essential to keep your system
in good working order and well maintained. This gives you the peace
of mind that your alarm system is protecting your family, home,
business and possessions.
You may decide to upgrade or replace your security system if:
- You have moved into a new home
or business premises and need to check that the alarm you have
inherited is working well or if you need replacement components.
- If you extend your existing home
or business and require an extended alarm system. You may also
take this opportunity to add additional detection devices or
upgrade the level of monitoring and police response required.
- If your system is starting to
look worn or old. With age, your system may be at increasing
risk of becoming faulty, especially if not regularly maintained.
This is especially true of exterior alarm boxes that are exposed
to the elements. Alarm boxes are also a major deterrent to
burglars and when they look uncared for and rusty they will not
perform this function as well.
- If the system you currently have
is no longer manufactured and you cannot get replacement parts
One of the most effective ways to
ensure you system’s reliability and durability is to sign up to a
maintenance contract. We offer three different levels of cover,
starting from basic to fully comprehensive. Please see our
maintenance contract section for details.
Monitoring
To ensure that you feel completely secure we can offer a police
response when we install or update your burglar alarm. We can also
offer a fire brigade response when installing or updating a fire
alarm system.
Types of Signalling
When you specify alarm monitoring, you can choose the type of
signalling system you want. Alarm signals are sent to the ARC if
electricity fails, lines are cut or the alarm is activated in
another manner. The different types of alarm signalling offer
different levels of security and vary in price.
A1 Security Services can offer:
- Audible internal and external
sounder systems only
- Speech/text and GSM diallers
- connects to the telephone line or radio network to send a
pre-recorded message or text on activation of the alarm system
- Digital communicators -
single path communicators work via a telephone line. Although
the line is monitored by the ARC when the system is set the line
is not monitored continuously so the ARC won’t be aware if the
line is not working
- Redcare - single path -
uses a BT land line but monitors it continuously to check that
it is operating and reports to the ARC if there is a problem
with the line
- Redcare GSM - dual path -
uses only a BT line and the 02 network
- Dualcom GPRS - dual path
- uses any telephone line and various mobile networks
Getting a police response is subject
to several conditions being met, please call if you would like to
discuss a monitored system.
