Health and Safety
In many companies it is a Health and Safety requirement that workers under certain conditions must have some means of summoning help if required

Examples are:-
Salespersons working alone in the show home of a building site
Maintenance staff working alone in toxic conditions
Security Guards patrolling alone at night

In all of the above examples it is important that the person can summon help immediately if attacked, overcome by fumes or needing help to tackle intruders.

Lone Worker Protection
All the lone worker systems supplied by A1 Security utilise a radio link between the worker and a base. The base equipment then transmits a signal through the telephone line via a digital communicator to a monitoring station who will then summon help.
There are an infinite number of systems available depending on the number of workers to be protected, the range required and the type of response.
We can tailor systems to suit every need, but we do market a range of lone worker protection kits that are in use at present.

An example of a basic system that is currently in use is described below. This system was designed for salespersons working in showhomes on building sites and is known as the Staffwatch Audio system.

The Staffwatch Audio System
The Salesperson has a keyfob type PA button which, when pressed, transmits a signal to the receiver which dials the monitoring station. There is a speaker/microphone in the showhome and the monitoring station can ask through the speaker if the person requires assistance. If the person says yes or if the operator hears anything suspicious he will summon help. If it is a false alarm then the salesperson gives a password and the line is closed.
