Intruder Alarms

A1 Security Services have been fitting intruder alarms since 1988. Our clients range from house holders to national companies. The benefits you get when dealing with us are:-

Free Surveys
We will survey your premises and provide you with a quotation for a system tailored to your needs, with a choice of wired or wireless systems if required and a list of options.

No Pressure Selling
Our surveyors are not working on commission so they will not pressurise you to buy. We rely on our experience and expertise to sell systems, not pressure.

SSAIB Members
We are members of the Security Systems Alarm Inspection Board. This means that we have to work to the highest standards in both installation and service. We are inspected twice a year by the SSAIB and our installations, paperwork and maintenance records checked.

British Standards
Our membership of the SSAIB means that all our work complies with the current European Standards.

Maintenance Contracts
After the first year, when the system is covered by the guarantee, we provide two types of maintenance contract to ensure that your system stays reliable.

Take Overs
We are prepared to offer maintenance contracts on alarms that we have not fitted, but only after we have inspected the system to ensure that it meets the current Standards.

24 Hour Call Out
All our guarantees and maintenance contracts include a 24 hour call out service.

Monitored Systems
We fit all types of systems from simple audio alarms through to alarms with digital communicators up to confirmed alarms with Redcare/GSM signalling and Police response.

Experience
Because we have been established since 1988 we have had experience of all types of systems and equipment from most manufacturers. We try out new equipment that comes on to the market and reject anything that is unreliable or is not an improvement on what we are currently using.

Wired or Wireless
Until recently the most reliable intruder alarm was a wired system i.e. every component was connected by electrical cable. However, reductions in the price of radio components and more experience and development means that wireless systems are equally efficient. In a wireless system the only wires are from the electrical supply to the panel and from the panel to the alarm. All the detectors have radio transmitters that send signals to a receiver in the panel. This means that there is less upheaval during the fitting as, apart from the two wires mentioned, there is no need to lift carpets, drill holes and generally disrupt the place in order to hide the wires.
The cost of the wireless alarms is still higher than wired systems but the less disruptive installation and the fact that it can be switched on and off remotely means that wireless alarms are rapidly becoming the most popular.
